The Adaptation at Scale in Semi-Arid Regions (ASSAR) project invites you to attend a webinar on Challenging assumptions about gender and climate adaptation – “It’s not always what, or who, you think”. The webinar will take place on March 14, 2018, 12:00pm GMT, in conjunction with the 62nd session on the Commission on the Status of Women, focusing on gender and the empowerment of rural women and girls.
We will touch on a number of topics, including how climatic and non-climatic pressures affect women’s agency and livelihood diversification, changes in households and the relationships within them, women and men’s aspirations, and food security.
Speakers will include colleagues from Oxfam GB, the University of East Anglia, University of Namibia, the Indian Institute for Human Settlements and ICRISAT.
