    that advances knowledge and action on critical sustainability issues.

     

    START is a core international partner of the United States Global Change
    Research Program and works closely with universities and research institutes
    in Africa and Asia, United Nations agencies, governments
    and non-governmental organizations.

    We advance knowledge and action on issues including land-use/land-cover change, biodiversity, agriculture and food security, urbanization, human health, water resource management, and climate change. We work globally, connecting experts and organizations across countries and regions, with a particular focus on Africa and Asia.
