In December 2018, START team members traveled to the TEA-START and SEA-START Regional Centers to explore how the Secretariat can effectively engage these centers to advance START’s mission in the region.
The discussions generated a set of priority actions for 2019. The Secretariat and both centers will collaborate to convene two meetings in 2019, engaging START alumni and other thought leaders from the two regions.
The meetings will explore how to ensure more effective and durable science capacity development in the context of regional needs and priorities and showcasing START’s past successes.
