Future Climate for Africa (FCFA): Gap Filling Fund
November 17, 2017

FCFA is pleased to announce that the gap filling fund call is now live. The guidance document and application form can be found here.

The gap filling fund, aims to support small projects led by early career researchers with a maximum project size of £80k cost to The Natural Environment Research Council (NERC). Projects are required to focus on identified gaps within the pillar one climate science of FCFA.  Projects will be expected to start in April 2018 and have a maximum duration of 12 months.

The gap filling grants should not duplicate already funded research, including current FCFA grants, but should complement ongoing activities. Any institution already receiving a NERC grant under FCFA is  eligible to ‘host’ a successful gap filling grant.

Full proposals should be submitted to NERC via email (fcfa@nerc.ac.uk) by 16:00 GMT/UCT on 25 January 2018.

Any queries about the scope of the call should be directed to;
Helen Pearce, Senior Programme Manager, fcfa@nerc.ac.uk or
Katy Chamberlain, Programme Manager (Research) fcfa@nerc.ac.uk
