Applications are open for the Climate System Analysis Group (CSAG) Winter School which will take place July 22-26 in Cape Town.

The Winter School is a 1 week intensive course developed specifically for participants from developing countries and aiming to take participants through the full spectrum of climate and climate change related topics.

Topics explored during the winter school include climate dynamics and system feedbacks, climate modelling and downscaling theory, climate change projections, risk and vulnerability framing, assessment approaches and methodologies, climate adaptation frameworks, adaptation planning, policy and decision making, climate information distillation, and climate services.

The course targets professionals from sectors including government departments and ministries, city councils and local municipalities, NGO’s, corporate organizations and environmental consultancies.
