A group of experts met on 8-9 August in Accra, Ghana, to explore needs, priorities and opportunities to advance innovative learning approaches for 21stcentury water security challenges in Africa.
The meeting, organized by START and the University of Ghana in partnership with the Sustainable Water Future Program, aimed at identifying opportunities for curricula development targeted at graduate level training and professional certification outside of academia.
Participants identified priority themes in water security that could be developed into course modules. They also discussed new approaches for learning that allow post-graduate professionals to continue their education, and potential entry points for integrating modules into graduate level university curricula.
