In May, START partnered with Educational Partnerships for Innovation in Communities (EPIC) and UNEP’s Global Adaptation Network to deliver a workshop on applying the EPIC approach in Asian cities. The 3-day virtual workshop featured pairs of university faculty and local government officials from 32 Asian cities. Following from the workshop, START will offer seed grants to 11 of the university-city pairs that will allow them to begin applying the EPIC approach to addressing adaptation and resilience needs within local contexts.
