Monitoring and Evaluation Workshop for Thailand’s National Adaption Plan and Climate Resilience Index

On September 28, 2020, the Southeast Asia START Regional Center (SEA-START) together with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), and the Office of the Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONEP), Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Thailand, organized a workshop on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Framework for Thailand’s National Adaptation Plan (NAP) and Climate Resilience Index.

Approximately 30 academics and government officials participated in the workshop to provide input for the draft framework for monitoring progress and outcome of the National Adaptation Plan and evaluation of effectiveness of climate change adaptation policies and plans that aim to enhance sector resilience against pressure from climate change in the long term. The design of the Climate Resilience Index covers 6 key sectors: Agriculture and Food Security, Water Resources, Tourism, Human Health, Human Settlement and Natural Resources.

The workshop was held at Central Plaza Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand and is part of the study on Development of National Adaptation Plan (NAP) Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Framework and Thailand Climate Resilience Index, which is being conducted by the SEA-START Regional Center.
