Science Policy and Public Affairs
The goal of AGU's Public Affairs program is to inform both members and non-members about Congressional activities. We track current legislation, hearings, briefings, and any other relevant events on Capitol Hill to keep members informed about what is happening in Washington and how it affects you as an AGU member and scientist. Members can become a part of the process by having Public Affairs staff facilitate visits with their Congressional delegation to express their opinions. Members who want to keep abreast of current events on Capitol Hill can sign up for AGU Legislative Science Alerts (ASLA’s) to see how science policy is evolving. On this page, you will find links to:
