START Regional Research Networks

The main objectives of START’s regional research networks work to mobilize scientific capacity and resources to address regionally specific issues of global environmental change and to create dynamic interaction between the science and policy communities. START’s regional networks are made up of individuals linked to universities, research institutes, policy making bodies, and nongovernmental organizations. START’s activities within each region are overseen by regional committees and secretariats.
