Geophysical Research Letters, Global Biogeochemical Cycles, Paleoceanography, and G-Cubed articles have length restrictions to encourage concisely written submissions. Use this tool to determine if your article is within the specified limit.

 Journal Maximum Length
GBC38 publication units (~12 final pages)  
GRL14 publication units (~4 final pages)  
Paleo47 publication units (~15 final pages)
20 publication units (<7 final pages for Current)  
G-Cubed26 publication units (regular articles)
8 publication units (briefs)  
One publication unit is 380 word equivalents or 1 figure.

  1. Browse and select a PDF version of your article. Note that scanned PDFs will render false results and therefore should not be used. If you use the PDF from GEMS, you must rename the file.
  2. Select the journal to which you will submit and the number of figures in your article, if any.
  3. Check the box if your PDF contains line numbers.
  4. Click on Submit File.
