Introduction: This workshop, as part of the C3D+ programme and supported by UNITAR, will provide researchers and educators dealing with mitigation issues in African countries an opportunity to learn how to apply two analysis / teaching tools developed by the ERC and to share knowledge and develop a platform for future collaboration in the following two areas in particular:
• Individual carbon footprinting
• Equitable sharing of the mitigation burden
The workshop has the following aims:
• Introduce and explain the use of the two mitigation tools developed by the ERC
• Discuss potential applications of the tools
• Build networks among African research and education institutions
• Collaborate on future educational activities
Please note that we are particularly interested in hearing from individuals working in the following countries:
• Democratic Republic of Congo
• South Africa

Costs: Upon formal confirmation of your attendance we undertake to cover economy class return air fare from your specified location, airport transfers, accommodation and meals for two nights in Cape Town and a per diem for incidentals.
